VISIT TO OVER NORTON PARK FARM & WALK FARM, OX7 5PX led by Mike
Kettlewell to see farmland birds. Meet at the 'Pig Farm' 10.30 am
on left off the A3400 by the radio mast about 400m north of the
roundabout with the A361 road to Banbury. Map Ref: SP326285.
The farm has been in Stewardship schemes for 17 years to increase
biodiversity. The bird feeding programme includes millet year-round
to help Tree Sparrows and Reed Bunting and from December to May
mixed feeding to attract Chaffinches, Yellowhammers, Linnets, Skylarks
and Corn Bunting etc.

the weather and reports from Fritillary Watch. Meet at 10.30 am.
An old hay meadow which is now a National Nature Reserve and an
SSSI with the largest UK population of Snakes Head Fritillaries.
The meadow has been managed by residents of Cricklade for hundreds
of years through the Court Leet which is still involved in its management.
Tea room open from 10 am to 5 pm. Enter Cricklade from A419. Turn
right in the centre of town. Follow this road until you come alongside
the reserve. Map Ref: SU099944.
Otherwise there is car parking in the town then follow signposts
to North Meadow.
