Lashford Lane Fungi

Mary Elford writes: On Sunday my family and I went to Lashford Lane Fen in Dry Sandford. We love this small but important reserve that hardly anyone seems to visit. We hadn’t been in the autumn before so didn’t know whether it might be good for fungi. We concentrated our search in the woodland area.

We found the Wrinkled Peach and a lovely newly emerging clump of Jelly Ear but I’m wondering if anyone knows what the other two in the photos are.  All the fungi that we found were very small – possibly because it’s relatively early in the season.

I plan to go to North Leigh Common soon which can be a good spot for Fly Agaric beneath the birch trees.

If anyone can identify the fungi, please let Mary know.
